Yesterday, an enthusiastic team of local Landcare volunteers came together for a National Tree Day event. One hundred trees, a mixture of blackwood, red gum, swamp gum and Omeo gum, were planted at the confluence of the Ovens and Buckland rivers, Porepunkah.
Lots of weeding and tidying of previous plantings too. Over 8000 native plants now improving these riparian areas along the Ovens River.
