If only it was just a case of planting them and leaving them…
Yvonne, Scott and I planted another 30 trees on the downstream end of this site, and a further 30 near to the entrance way (which is now blocked by another fallen tree). Scott and I also sprayed the site for trad and other weeds.
Two more weed treatments are needed. Three fallen trees and branches, deer attack, strong winds, drought and floods and a hungry wombat all take their toll.
This winter we have approximately 50 trees to replace if anyone can spare some time (trees are those we received from OLN and we have secured some extra, tall tree guards from NECMA for this).
