A beautiful day in the autumn sun and some great work releasing hundreds of new trees from their guards along the Ovens River at Porepunkah.
And a wonderful turnout too, our thanks go to the 25 or so volunteers and grandkids who turned up to help, put in the work and were rewarded with a barbecue lunch and some very moreish home made cakes.
This is important work and there is still much to be done as we need to release and stake-up hundreds of trees and shrubs at the confluence of the Ovens and the Buckland Rivers in our riparian restoration projects.
Thank you all again, hopefully we can repeat the working bee again soon.
