Last month, Martyn Paterson, UOVLG Vice President, joined staff and students from Wandiligong Primary School, Bright P-12 College and the Alpine Shire to plant native trees, shrubs and native grasses along Morses Creek.

In celebration of National Tree Planting Day, twenty students planted 50 seedlings at The Diggings on Morses Creek. Many of the species planted are favoured as food trees by endangered Gang Gang Cockatoos. Seventy-four Bright College students planted native trees and grasses along the new cycle path at Mystic Park.

Many thanks to school staff and parents, and to Nick and the Alpine Shire outdoors team.
