One Mile Creek Tree Planting

Thanks to a grant from Bendigo Bank we will be restoring an area of public land where One Mile Creek meets the Ovens River. 

We will make a start on planting 600 trees and shrubs. A follow-up planting day is scheduled on Saturday 22 June.

Meet at the site – Driving from Porepunkah on the Great Alpine Road toward Myrtleford, it is approx 1.3 km on the left once past the Back Porepunkah road (Station St) turnoff.  Take care, it is a busy high speed road. Park and walk well off the road. 4WD may be able to drive down a small hill onto the site.  

Bring gloves, hat, refreshment and favourite digging tool and if you have it, a mallet.
