The UOVLG has had a strong start to the year following a well attended AGM at the Bright Brewery in late-2024. In addition to an informative talk by Nikki Munro (Trust for Nature) about local birdlife and nesting boxes, it was terrific to welcome new Committee members Anne McEniery, Charlie Pascoe, Joe Kenwright and Mick Donges.
A big thank you goes out from the Committee to Jeanette McLaren for her fantastic job as UOVLG Secretary over recent years and to Anne McEniery for taking on the role. Thanks also to members Gini Harris for organizing working bee BBQs, and Leonie Wyld for managing the UOVLG website and market stall bookings.
The new Committee members join existing members Graham Gales (Chair), Martyn Paterson (Deputy Chair), Peter (Jack) Jacobs, Robyn Guiney, Rod McCracken, Sarah Nicholas, Simon Law (Treasurer), Yvonne Ward, Gillian Anderson and Penny Raleigh (Ovens Landcare Network Facilitator). The Committee meets monthly and looks forward to working closely with the broader membership over the coming year.
