Working Bee: Ovens River (Mount Buffalo Road) Site, Porepunkah

Due to lack of rain, the planting planned for One Mile Creek will be rescheduled.  Instead, the Group will spend a couple of hours checking on the plantings at the Mount Buffalo Road – Ovens River site, near the junction of the Buckland River. The plan is to re-stake fallen trees and guards, remove rubbish, and do anything else which warrants attention.

To reach the site, if travelling from Porepunkah, turn right off Mount Buffalo Road onto a gravel road just past the first caravan park (Discovery). Drive along the side of the plantation beside the caravan park and park just past the first corner. You will see the tree guards.

Bring your gloves, boots, water, hat, sunscreen, snacks (We won’t have the barbecue) and your favourite hand tool.
